The Pinnacle Adventure Race

Hi all,

ARC is hosting an adventure race within Ngee Ann Poly's campus on 20 October 2007.

Categories:

1. NP Student Mixed
2. NP Student Men
3. NP Student Women
4. Open (Staff/Alumni)
   

Each team consists of 2 participants.

Registration fees:
NP Men, Women & Mixed Category- $20 per team
(Fees include goodie bag, t-shirt and Certificate of Participation)

Everyone is strongly encouraged to participate in this race.

RC Committee Re-shuffle

Update: Interviews will be held this Friday, 14 September 2007. Please report at 1300 sharp at room 72-03-02.

There will be isolation, so bring cards or pillows.


Hey all,

We will be reshuffling the current committee slightly. This also results in a few new openings new members.

Serving in the club would be a privilege, as there are very few clubs which will allow their first years to serve in the committee. Being part of the committee will also be hard work. It would require much of your time and dedication as well.

The positions which we may be opening up:

Treasurer
Secretary
Operations
Logistics
Public Relations (some IT skills required)

We will be conducting interviews for all applications, interviews will be held on the 14th of September.

Climb On Singapore 2007 Competition

Climb On is an annual competition held by Climb Asia.

Individual (Main Event,bouldering):

2 categories

-Under 18 (climb on the 8^th)

-Open (climb on the 9^th)

All participants must print out registration forms to Climb Asia by 5^th September to enjoy the $14 registration fee.

Late payment will cost an additional $4 per climber for late fees, but this does not apply for Speed and Dyno categories.

Registration will only complete and place confirmed after payment has been made.

Team,4 to a group.(Main Event,bouldering)

Ladies will score double points.

2 categories

-Under 18(climb on the 8^th)

-Open(climb on the 9^th)

All climbers must register individually and then register for the team for with their IDs.

All participants must print out registration forms to Climb Asia by 5^th September latest to enjoy the $56 registration fee.

Late payment after 5 September, additional $4/climber for late fees (Eg.Team category - $72.Does not apply for Speed and Dyno categories.

Climbing Assignment

Hi all,

Sue Ann, our trainer, wants all competitive climbers to complete an assignment by 12 September 2007.

Do research on 1 climber and 1 boulderer

• Achievements
• Training methods
• Climbing styles
• Useful techniques to learn from them

Find videos and articles/interviews about these climbers/boulders and use them as part of your presentation.

Only two people may do research on the same climber or boulderer, but may not choose the same climbers/boulderers. Please post your choice of climbers/boulderers on the tagboard to indicate your choices.
